Take a trip with me to Maricopa, Denver and D.C. as I captured visuals to enhance the stories I told with my team. Some where published, others weren't, but they all added to the jigsaw puzzle that often is journalism.
Denver, Colorado
While reporting for our investigative Carnegie-Knight News21 fellowship, I captured visuals of the Denver Police, Shorter African Methodist Episcopal church, the Denver abortion protest and much more. These visuals lent a hand to the completion of our overall project: policing in America.
Washington, D.C.
In fall 2020, I had the opportunity to work for Cronkite News as a Washington D.C. correspondent. I reported on national-level stories with an Arizona angle, making sure to keep my audience in mind while also grasping a health beat in an area I had never been to before. During a pandemic and national election, I reported on issues that would directly and indirectly affect my home-state of Arizona.

Graphics
The event graphics below were created for client events, or as part of the client's digital strategy. I've created deliverables for Issues in Science and Technology, Zocalo Public Square and Education at Work.
These infographics and visuals were created alongside printed articles on an elder abuse case, MUSD Proposition 437, and local bikers claiming some Ahwatukee roadways are not safe for cycling.
Helping Paws was an organization tasked with raising awareness of the tasks of service dogs, emotional support animals and therapy animal sessions. The project takes on the angles helpful animals to do impact: mental health, individuals with physical disabilities, college students and children. Click on the helping paws logo to see the website, with pages created by myself, Caroleina Hassett, and Kelsey Kerley. I personally was responsible for the banner, logo, and college students angle for the entire project. Find the page I worked on here.
